Not Going Dutch

The 500 richest Dutch people have together become €7bn richer over the past year, according to the latest edition of the Quote 500 rich list.

The monthly business magazine puts their total wealth at €113bn, which is around 25% of the Dutch state debt. Much of the increase is due to the rise in share prices, Quote says.

Top is Heineken heiress Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken whose assets rose 30% to €7.2bn. Number two, Randstad founder Frits Goldschmeding, saw his assets grow by 42% to €3bn. Bottom of the list is DJ Tiësto with assets of €54m.
