Public Meeting - "The New Dust Bowl- Soil and Survival "

A talk by Gwynn Thomas
Human well-being relies on the planet's soil resources which are seldom more that a few inches deep. It takes one hundred years to produce one inch of topsoil yet soil erosion greatly exceeds replacement rates in many regions of the globe. Will capitalism's undoubted success in increasing food production turn into an ecological disaster? The talk will highlight the challenges facing the planet's soil resources in the coming century.
Sunday, 3:00pm
21 June 2015
Venue: The Socialist Party's premises, 52 Clapham High Street, London SW4 7UN
