No War But the Class War

According to the BBC, Trump has launched 59 Tomahawk missiles against Syrian government forces in revenge for the alleged government gas bombing that caused 70 dead. He did not wait for any verification of the nature of the chemical agent used, much less confirmation of who was complicit in the attack.

Let us be clear, we mourn the deaths of those 70 men, women, and children but we also grieve for the 200,000-plus Syrian civilians including 24,000 children who have died from an assortment of deadly and horrific conventional weaponry. We are also saddened by all those innocent lives being lost in the battle to control Mosul such as the 300 who were killed by a US airstrike.
